A&E pulls the plug on David Hasselhoff and his daughters…
After just two episodes of The Hasselhoffs on A&E, the former Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff and his daughters have been given the boot.
Hoff, Taylor Ann and Hayley completed eight episodes but the network indicates the six remaining segments will not see the light of day.
The Nielsen ratings indicate they had 718,000 viewers during week one and that number sank to 505,000 for the second episode. Leading into the show on Sunday evenings with 1.4 million viewers was Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels.
With more than half of viewers turning the channel after watching the Kiss musician’s reality show, A&E made the quick decision to yank the concept. In the short term A&E will air back to back episodes of Family Jewels.
The 58-year-old actor was also jilted on Dancing with the Stars, getting the boot during week one of Season 11.
A few days later he exhibited bizarre behavior on a California 101 Freeway overpass.
