Gabe Okoye and Brittany Mayti have been invited back to the new Fox game show, “Million Dollar Money Drop,” after risking $800,000 and losing, despite giving the RIGHT answer!
When the couple were asked on Monday’s premiere episode which product was sold in stores first; the Macintosh computer, Post-It Notes or the Sony Walkman, Okoye, 25, and girlfriend Mayti, 23, debated the answer before betting $800,000 on the Post-It Notes. They were devastated when the show informed them the answer was wrong.
As it turns out, Fox was wrong. Post-It Notes were sold in four cities under a different brand name in 1977, while the Walkman went on the market in 1979.
No word on whether the couple will accept the invitation, although Okoye did tell the AP, “To go through that again – maybe to lose again – that’s a lot of stress.”
