In a new beachside commercial for Diet Pepsi, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara causes a stir when she sends a Twitter message about a celebrity sighting.
The 30-second spot, with Whatever Lola Wants playing in the background, shows Vergara lounging on a crowded beach. She decided to stir things up by tweeting: “At the pier. Just saw #David Beckham.”
The ploy sends everyone heading away from the crowded beverage stand, enabling her to sashay right up to the counter to order a Diet Pepsi.
The scene cuts to the actress back in her lounger, enjoying her soft drink … when a soccer ball rolls up next to her chair, with David Beckham gliding into the frame to retrieve his runaway object.
