She’ll portray Kim Gotti, not Victoria …
Rumors were flying yesterday that Lindsay Lohan had lost out on her golden opportunity to appear in the upcoming biopic Gotti: Three Generations. Things have changed drastically since executive producer Marc Fiore floated that tip to TMZ.
The 24-year-old actress has reportedly signed a two-picture deal. Fiore confirmed the news: “We’re pleased to have Lindsay on-board for Three Generations and Mob Street. After resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment.”
As we reported yesterday, Fiore stated that, due to a negotiation impasse, Lohan’s deal to play Victoria Gotti was “off the table.” He insinuated that it was Lilo’s management team who had screwed things up for the actress, with their unrealistic demands. He opened the door a crack, inviting Lindsay to pick up the phone and work out her own deal — and that is precisely what the troubled celeb did.
There has been a new twist though. The actress will not be playing the role of Victoria, daughter of John ‘Teflon Don’ Gotti. She is now slated to portray Kim Gotti, the daughter-in-law. This doesn’t bode well for Kim Kardashian, who was up for that part.
John Travolta has already signed on to portray John Gotti and was gracious last week when asked about the possibility of working with Lohan: “I always thought Lindsay was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth. I know whatever she would like to do would be great.”
Lilo also weighed in this morning: “I’m really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do. I think it’s such an iconic story. I’m honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci.”
