Singer Katy Perry, on the Asian leg of her Teenage Dream tour, will perform at several venues in Japan during the week of May 22-26.

The entertainer has previously indicated that Japan is one of her favorite places. She decided to share the sights and sounds with her husband of six months, Russell Brand.

You may recall that the couple embarked on a week long wedding extravaganza to India last October – wedding photos here.

When Katy and Russell arrived in Japan on Saturday, things went badly for Mr. Brand. He wasn’t allowed into the country because of his past criminal record. He admits that he is a former heroin and sex addict, as well as a recovering alcoholic.

Katy took to her Twitter page: “So…my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place. #tokyodreamscrushed”

Katy had to stay, but was quick to get the word out to her fans that she still loves them and the shows will go on.

Russell also took to his Twitter page — he’s a bit more comedic: “Planning escape from Japanese custody. It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick.”

Then he offered up a photo with this tagline: “Alcatraz! Shawshank Redemption! And now this! Ah, sweet blue bird of freedom.”
