Newly engaged couple Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have a lot to celebrate, so why does a family feud seem to be brewing?!
It all started after Kim revealed her plan to drop her last name after she ties the knot. She intends to use the name Kim Humphries both personally and professionally.
Mama Kris Jenner isn’t happy. She explained: “I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries … She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is.”
It’s easy to see where the Kardashian family matriarch is coming from. The name Kim Kardashian has become a brand and is possibly the most recognized name in reality television. Will changing her name erode the growing empire that she has worked so hard to build?
Many speculated that she would hyphenate her name and be known as Kim Kardashian-Humphries … just as her sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom did after her wedding.
