Shania Twain is reportedly walking on cloud nine after signing a two year deal to headline at Caesars Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas.
The Canadian singer, who hasn’t performed in seven years, is thrilled. She said: “I feel like I’m on top of the world. Honestly, I feel like I climbed a giant mountain.”
Twain will kick off her Still the One show in December 2012. This time frame gives her ample opportunity to get ready for the next huge chapter in her life.
Twain plans to bring her second husband, Frederic Thiebaud, and her son Eja, 9, to Sin City while she is performing. She said: “The schedule is being planned out in a way that I can really get satisfaction personally and professionally.”
“Fred and Eja will be with me pretty much all the time I am there. I really don’t like separating those two lives. They really have to go together.”
This has turned out to be a big year for Twain. She got married on New Year’s Day in Puerto Rico, was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in March and launched her own TV show, entitled Why Not? With Shania Twain, on the OWN channel in May.
As if that wasn’t enough, Shania received a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 2, 2011, in recognition of her star-studded career.
