Katy Perry plays Kathy Beth Terry, an awkward teen, who wakes up not exactly sure what happened the night before. She finds pictures on the internet displaying her crazy Friday night antics that included a huge party and a makeover.
The video’s retro theme seems to work for Katy Perry and it’s refreshing to see pop stars who are willing to poke fun at themselves.
The video has cameo appearances from Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Kenny G, Hanson, Rebecca Black, Corey Feldman, Deborah Gibson.
Perry created a new Twitter account to promote the video. You can now find her 13-year-old geeky alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry, who likes Sudoku puzzles, the solar system, high school science fairs, and is always wearing her orthodontic headgear.
This is the fifth single to be released off Perry’s Teenage Dream album.
