Hollywood matchmaker Orly Hadida is suing Gayle King to the tune of $500,000 because she didn’t hold up her end of the bargain after being hooked up two years ago with a series of “attractive, fit, and wealthy men.”

According to Orly, in exchange for providing the radio show host with introductions and dates with eligible bachelors, King promised to get her a gig on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

She reminded Gayle of this promise earlier this year when it became obvious that the clock was winding down on Oprah’s show. Whether King approached her BFF or just blew Orly off is unclear but the long-running Chicago gig is now history and Hadida wants to be compensated for services rendered.

Orly claims to have spent “hundreds of hours” hooking GK up with five fabulous men, several of whom she actually dated. When the good faith agreement failed to materialize, a lawsuit seemed the only way she would be compensated.

No word from the King camp on the merits of the suit or her willingness to fork over a significant chunk of change.

The man most often seen on King’s arm these days is the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Cory Booker. Check out a recent photo below:
