Sean Penn sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan for a candid interview that shed light on his political beliefs and his views on the state of the economy.
He implied that the Tea Party platform is motivated by racism, with a very specific agenda. He called them the “Get the N-word out of the White House party.”
Penn strongly believes that the Tea Party is a “distraction” and summed it up by saying, “At the end of the day, there’s a big bubble coming out of their heads, saying, ‘Can we just lynch him?'”
So who will Sean Penn support in the presidential election? He told Morgan, “I will very likely vote for President Obama again. I am an optimist and I know that he did inherit a terrible situation from not only President Bush but from prior to that as well. But voting isn’t a happy occasion and it should be.”
He went on to say, “I think that Barack Obama is as capable of being a great president as anyone we’ve got walking.”
Then he went on to talk about the forces that he feels are working against Obama.
