It is Halloween Week on Dancing with the Stars. The six remaining celebrity contestants and their pro partners hit the dance floor on Monday night dressed in some appropriately ghoulish costumes.
They were judged twice last night, first individually and then as either Team Tango or Team Paso Doble. David, Nancy and J.R. and their partners performed to Rihanna’s Disturbia and earned 23 points from the judges. Rob, Ricki and Hope and their partners danced to Bring Me to Life by Evanescence and were awarded 26, giving them a distinct advantage.
Ricki Lake and Derek are at the top of the leaderboard with 53. Their Paso Doble to Sweet Dreams by Beyonce earned them 27 . This was despite the fact that Lake has been dancing with a painful cracked rib.
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl landed in second spot with 51. They performed a Tango to The Adams Family Theme. The judges called it a solid performance despite his inability to tuck in his protruding “bum” and gave them 25. His sister Kim Kardashian was a no-show, after announcing earlier in the day that she is divorcing Kris Humphries after 72 days.
Hope Solo and Maks had a composite score of 50. Their dance number was Werewolves of London which earned them a 24 from the judges, who were kinder to the soccer goalie after six solid weeks of criticism.
J. R. Martinez and Karina ended up with a disappointing 48 after being at the top of the leaderboard in the earlier weeks of the competition. Their individual performance, worth 25 was a solid Tango to Ghostbusters Theme.
David Arquette and Kym are sitting at 47. Their Cha-Cha-Cha to Abracadabra was worth 24. The judges gave him fair praise for continued improvement, though it may not be enough to keep him in the competition.
Nancy Grace and Tristan are extremely vulnerable at a lowly 44. Their Jive to The Devil Went Down to Georgia was “not her dance” and earned them a disappointing 21.
Will the legal eagle reach the end of the line during Tuesday night’s elimination show, or does she have a fan base that will keep her dancing for another week?
