He consistently paid her money but not for sex …

Ginger White continued her media blitz this morning on GMA, providing details of her nearly 14-year affair with GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain.

She told George Stephanopoulos, “I honestly do not think that he, in my opinion, would make a good president as far as I’m concerned.”

Cain, who is currently reassessing his viability as a candidate, publicly called White a “troubled Atlanta business woman” who is using “national media outlets to promulgate a fabricated, unsubstantiated story.”

White, 46, told the morning show host that she would characterize their long term association as a “very casual affair.” She admitted that she suffered some financial setbacks and accepted money from him “consistently” over the past two and a half years, though she was emphatic that it wasn’t as payment for sex. She also indicated that they took numerous trips together.

The money angle is not being disputed by Herman Cain, who indicates that he did provide financial support, “just as I have helped many friends and acquaintances throughout the years. I thought Ms. White was a friend … but it turns out she was abusing the friendship.”

Ginger showed her phone records to ABC News, including recent text messages from Cain in October and November. She told Stephanopoulos that the candidate last communicated with her a week ago, having never once asked her to keep the affair a secret.

While her motives remain murky, she is sure of one thing, “The funny thing about Herman Cain is never in a million years did he probably think that I would speak out on this. And honestly speaking I never wanted to.”

So why did she come forward? Speculation strongly suggests that the revelations are politically motivated. The weaker theory is that White is simply looking for her 15-minutes of fame.
