Not long ago it was announced that Gayle King was leaving Oprah and the OWN channel for a new CBS gig on the Early Show.
Talk show host Wendy Williams was among many who speculated on-air that the BFF status previously shared by Winfrey and King was history.
Apparently Oprah got wind of it. Imagine Wendy’s surprise to actually receive a letter from the OWN mogul? She gushed, “I love when celebrities contact the ‘Wendy Show’ to set the record straight, cause that means that they’re watching.”
“Recently I talked about Oprah and Gayle’s friendship possibly being on the rocks. It all stemmed from when I was talking with you, the audience, about Gayle announcing that she was leaving the OWN network for the ‘Early Show’ on CBS.”
So what did Oprah pen to Wendy? Apparently all is well, and there are no hard feelings. Wendy was particularly pleased that the note included a smiley face and was signed “Love, Oprah.”
