If you feel like you have read this headline before, it’s because you have. Actress Lindsay Lohan is currently in Hawaii on a mini vacation and had her purse and passport stolen.
The same thing happened to Lindsay last year when she was at the Cannes Film Festival.
Lohan was at a house party in Laie, on the island of Oahu, for several hours last night and left her $5,000 Chanel purse in the car. When she came out she discovered that the designer bag and its contents were gone.
The purse reportedly contained lots of cash, her passport and other ID, and probation paperwork that gave her permission to be on the trip.
Lohan is due back in California court this Wednesday for a probation hearing. She’ll have to scramble to get replacement identification in order to fly. While the passport won’t be necessary this time around, she’ll still need proof of identity.
Her much touted Playboy photo spread was leaked late last week, causing a major uproar for the magazine. Founder Hugh Hefner reported on Twitter that the issue release date would be moved up.
Hef tweeted, “Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot.” The magazine hits newsstands in hard copy on Friday, Dec. 16.
An investigation into the theft in underway.
