Selena Gomez was attending a concert in L.A. last night when she got word that her mother, Mandy Gomez, had suffered a miscarriage.
The former Disney celeb abruptly left the Power 106 Cali Christmas 2011 venue and headed to be with her family.
Selena was scheduled to perform during two different radio gigs this weekend. She canceled the B96 Jingle Bash at the Allstate Arena near Chicago as well as the 106.1 KISS FM Jingle Bell Bash in Seattle.
Late last month the teen singer tweeted that her mom and stepfather, Brian Teefey, were expecting their first child together.
Her Twitter message showed her excitement, “Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news…My mommy’s carrying my baby brother or sister. I’m the happiest girl in the world.”
Brian and Mandy wed in 2006. Our condolences go out to the entire family.
