Tim Tebow led the Denver Broncos to a playoff win on Sunday when he tossed the game winning touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas during the first play of overtime.
The 80 yard throw over the middle ended the game with a final score of 29-23, sending Tebow and the Broncos on to the NFL divisional playoff round.
Tebow, famous for his liberal references to the Bible verse John 3:16, had some amazing stats to show for this playoff outing. He threw for a season-high 316 yards and set an NFL record with 31.6 yards per completion.
The QB routinely wrote John 3:16 in white over black under his eyes during his college days. The NFL wasn’t impressed and banned the practice, citing it as a personal message.
He shared his thoughts about the ‘miracle win’ on Twitter:
Denver will face the New England Patriots on Saturday, January 14, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The 24-year-old bachelor has been romantically linked with Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, an alpine ski racer who recently split with her husband.
