There has been some confusion on the order of the first and middle names of Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s new daughter, who was born Saturday, January 7.

Initial reports listed the baby’s name as Ivy Blue Carter. Within 24 hours, other outlets were reporting that her name was Blue Ivy Carter.

The media weren’t the only ones confused about the most anticipated baby of 2012’s name. Twitter was full of congratulatory tweets from A-list celebs.

“Congratulations to Beyonce, the 2nd Princess of Pop (behind Britney) for her new baby girl Ivy Blue!” tweeted Kourtney Kardashian.

Young Jeezy wrote, “Congratulations to Jay-Z & Beyonce on Baby Ivy Blue being born”.

And from Brooklyn Decker, “Oh my gosh Bey had her baby…I hope I hope I hope she is named Brooklyn..I will tattoo it on my butt if so,” following it up with, “Ivy Blue Carter. They named her Ivy Blue Carter..we can no longer be bonded. I’ll go cry myself to sleep now.”

Gwyneth Paltro tweeted, “Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.” She then clarified the name to a confused follower who asked, “is it ivy blue, or blue ivy? so confused…”

“It’s Blue Ivy Carter!” Paltrow responded.

By mid-afternoon on Sunday, the baby’s name was confirmed as Blue Ivy Carter.
