Adele walked away with six Grammys on Sunday night and is content to focus on love rather than new music for the next few years according to a new interview in the March 2012 issue of Vogue magazine.
She told the publication, “I’m f***ing off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record and be in love and be happy… I won’t come out with new music until it’s better than 21.”
The 23-year-old singing sensation has decided to step back because she is head over heels in love with Simon Konecki, the CEO of the charity organization Drop4Drop.
She gushed, “He’s wonderful. And he’s proud of me, but he doesn’t care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don’t think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn’t been for him.”
The songstress shared another revelation regarding the inspiration for her award-winning album 21, “I’m never writing a breakup record again, by the way. I’m done with being a bitter witch.”
We’re guessing Adele’s record label and management team are wringing their hands at the prospect of their bright star squandering her golden opportunity to strike while she remains the hottest vocalist on the planet.
As it turns out Adele has had a change of heart after winning six Grammys. She admits that she didn’t expect to win any awards and the fact that she made a clean sweep is a game changer. She said, “It’s straight into the studio. Five years? More like five days!”
