Songs from the 2010’s were featured last night on the hit FOX reality show American Idol. The Top 7 contestants remaining on season eleven were mentored by Jimmy Lovine and recording artist Akon.
The judges were decidedly high on the Runaway Baby rendition performed by Joshua Ledet.
They also heaped praise on Skylar Laine, Colton Dixon, Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone while chastising Phillip Phillips for becoming complacent.
Randy, Jennifer and Steven painted Hollie Cavanagh into a corner by gushing about how pretty she looked rather than find anything good to say about her performance of Perfect except to suggest that it wasn’t.
When asked who would go home this week they wouldn’t name her outright but they had already laid the groundwork with their not so subtle inferences that she is now out of her league. Will Hollie go home tonight? It certainly seems likely.
