Kim Kardashian says she plans on running for mayor of Glendale, CA, and surprisingly she is getting support from local politicians.
Kim talked about her political aspirations in a bonus clip from “Khloe & Lamar,” saying, “Ive decided I’m going to run for the mayor of Glendale.” (See video below)
Glendale, an “Armenian town,” is rallying around the reality star, who says she is looking into the details, and plans on buying a house there to meet the residency requirements.
“I would support her,” says city councilman Rafi Manoukian. “I think she would make an excellent mayor.”
Kardashian also has the support of city councilman and former mayor Ara Najarian, who thinks Kim’s bid to run for mayor is a “great idea,” and offered to make her honorary chief of staff to his office to help her get acquainted with Glendale.
“I know Kim is busy all over the world and all that, but if she’s able to come in a few days a week or a few days a month to see how the city works and see all the great things we do,” said Najarian. “If she wants to learn how Glendale runs, this is really the best way to do it.”
Don’t look for Kim to be on the ballot any time soon though. Glendale has a five year residency requirement.
