The Top 6 finalists on American Idol started out the evening singing music from the song book of British super group Queen.

We’d rank their first round this way: Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone, Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh.

See the ‘Queen’ and Contestant’s Choice order of performance and song choice chart:

Since using their judges save to keep Sanchez in the competition, the tide has turned and Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson have begun heaping their praises on Skylar and Joshua.

The second round held one bright surprise, the British-Texas teen Hollie nailed her rendition of the Miley Cyrus tune The Climb. That performance earned her a standing ovation and will probably keep her safe for another week.

The two contestants who appear to be the most vulnerable are Phillip and Elise. Their performances have become fairly predictable and the judges have toned done the positive rhetoric where these two are concerned.
