The top performance last night on American Idol was delivered by Joshua Ledet who killed it with the iconic James Brown tune “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World.”
Jennifer Lopez found it to be a religious experience, “I never knew before what it meant ‘take me to church.’ Now I know. It was amazing. I saw the Lord.”
It resonated with Steven Tyler too. He said, “I can go home right now! I’ve never heard anything like that in my life.”
The other strong performer last night was Ledet’s girlfriend, 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez.
Sanchez had her way with the Etta James spiritual “Steal Away” and the powerful song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls.
We’ll go out on a limb and predict these two will go head-to-head at the finale.
