Stevie Wonder has filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Kai Millard Morris.
Wonder filed the divorce papers under his legal name, Stevland Morris, signing with two fingerprints, TMZ reports. According to the papers, Wonder has been separated from Kai since October 2009.
The iconic musician cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and is asking for joint custody of the couple’s two boys, Kailand, 10, and Mandla, 7. He agrees to pay both spousal and child support in the documents.
Wonder was previously married to Motown singer Syreeta Wright from 1970 until their divorce in 1972. He married Kai, a fashion designer, in 2001. He has seven children from his two marriages and several relationships.
