Thursday night’s season seven finale of ‘America’s Got Talent’ featured a new winner as well as the end of the line for celebrity judge Sharon Osbourne.
Winning the top prize of $1 million and a Vegas show was Richard Olate, 55, and his son Nick and their canine act Olate Dogs. The third generation circus performer wowed the audience with a face-paced variety show filled with pet tricks — the first animal act to ever make it to the finals.
Coming up short in the runner-up spot was comedian Tom Cotter. He joked, “The experience was great and I’m going to fall down the stairs to get my own million dollars tonight.”
Third spot went to William Close, the giant earth harpist.
