A sneak peek at the judges table for season twelve of ‘American Idol’ reveals that Mariah Carey will be seated in the spot previously warmed by Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler.
The first official look at how the ‘Idol’ judges will be position was released on Facebook with Ryan Seacrest looking on from a standing position behind the panel.
Country crooner Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj will have a birds eye view from the two midway positions and veteran judge Randy Jackson will have the end chair, the same spot he has warmed during past seasons.
The first auditions took place in New York City yesterday. As the judges arrived, diva Mariah had some fun with reporters who wanted her to dish about her fellow judges.
When asked if she had anxiously been waiting to hear who would be joining her on the panel, she joked, “I really haven’t been waiting because all I care about is me… No, I’m only kidding. I’m very excited to go inside and see everybody.”
On the subject of her judging style– she responded, “I think what I want to be is honest and someone that the contestants can look to for guidance.”
