SiPORT Inc CEO and Director Sid Agrawal was gunned down on Friday afternoon at the company’s Santa Clara, California office complex. Also confirmed dead is V.P. of Operations Brian Pugh. A woman, whose identify is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was also reported to have been killed.
A manhunt is underway for 47 year old Jing Hua Wu, a former lead product test engineer at the fabless digital radio semiconductor company who was recently given his layoff notice. The disgruntled man entered the Silicon Valley office building at just shortly before 4:00 p.m. and opened fire according to Santa Clara Police Lt. Mike Sellers.
Officers scoured the complex and searched the suspects home in Mountain View, CA. He is still at large and is armed and dangerous. The shootings have sparked a massive dragnet across the area.
His photo is shown at the top of this story. He is described as 5’7″, 170 pounds, black hair and black eyes. He is reportedly driving a silver four-door Mercury Mariner sport utility with California license number 6CJU602. Santa Clara Police can be reached at 408-615-4700 if anyone encounters the suspect.
Linh Nguyen, a mechanical engineer who works next door at Excel Precision reported: “I was on the computer and a co-worker was going home, and we heard a commotion. People were running into our building, strangers. I don’t know who they were but they were very upset, they looked disturbed and then we heard that three people had been shot. We locked the doors and waited.”
