If you talk to 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? fans, you know that they have all sorts of strong opinions about Nicole and Azan.
Even though Nicole isn’t his sugar mama anymore, some still cling to the conspiracy theory that he’s just using her for money.
Others aren’t sure what to believe, except that they’re adamant that they shouldn’t get married.
(Yes, some critics of their marriage are thinly veiled body-shamers; yes, some others are racist or Islamaphobic; but others have real concerns)
Nicole dropped several hints recently that, when combined, revealed her plans for a summer wedding.
Now, Nicole is putting at least part of a date on those plans.

Fans have howled and gnashed their teeth and Nicole’s family has done the same, but this engagement is moving forward … however slowly.
But when is the actual wedding date?
Over the weekend, Nicole shed some light on the exciting details.
Nicole and Azan have been doing this dance for a long time
Fans have been calling it “90 Year Fiance” because they still haven’t gotten married. Even Nicole knows that it’s been a while. In fact, she knows better than anyone — it’s her life.
How long HAVE they been a (long-distance) couple, anyway?
Just a little earlier this year, Nicole informed her fans that she and Azan have been together for three-and-a-half years. Some marriages don’t even last that long.
Some think it’s been long enough
Nicole’s family has expressed real concerns that Azan is just stringing Nicole along — maybe for money, maybe because he doesn’t want to admit that his family doesn’t approve.
Her stepdad is not mincing words
Fun fact: this is not the correct pronunciation of the name “Azan.” It’s also not the right way to pronounce “Hassan,” his real name.
To be fair …
Nicole and Azan canceled their wedding … twice.
That’s right — twice
The first time, it was over paperwork. The second time, it was becuase of stress, pressure, and money. You know, typical wedding stuff.
Speaking of money
Nicole lied to her family and to her fans, telling them that she’d forked over $6,000 to Azan to open a vaguely defined store in Morocco. This year, she told the truth — it was all made up.
So why can’t Azan just come over to the US?
Many fans seem to think that he must have some shady criminal background, but Nicole claims that this is commonplace for Moroccan men. Given the current state of our ngihtmarish government, that might be true.
So when ARE Nicole and Azan going to tie the knot?
At first, Nicole didn’t seem willing to say
Then, she let it slip
As we reported at the time, Nicole revealed that she plans to reunite with Azan this summer after her sister’s wedding in June, at which point they’ll start a YouTube channel together.
Here’s the plan
She moves herself and her young daughter, May, to Morocco. She and Azan get married.
Then she tries to bring him over
She is hoping that she’ll have more success securing a spousal visa than she did with a K-1 visa.
So when exactly is that?
A fan asked Nicole if it’s true that this is all going down this summer. She had never spelled out that it would happen this summer, but we’d put together the pieces and knew that her plans more or less aligned with the summer season.
Here’s Nicole’s reply
“Probably not this ‘summer,’ but this year is highly likely,” Nicole revealed over the weekend.
SO we have a partial date!
We may not know the month or day of Nicole and Azan’s long, long anticipated nuptials, but we know that Nicole plans to probably end the wedding date with “2019.”
There is a downside
Reports say that Nicole’s parents are not expected to attend.
Why?
They absolutely love Nicole, but they already lost money the first time that they bought tickets to fly out … and then she and Azan called off the wedding. It’s not just that they don’t approve — they don’t want to sink more money into what they expect will be another disappointment.
In the mean time
Nicole is spending time with her daughter, and wants to assure fans that, no matter what they may hear, she has clear pirorities.

Nicole wants to assure fans that she is making sure that May won’t want for anything, and even says that she’s already set things up for May to go to school in Morocco. Fans were stunned, as research revealed that tuition for an American school in Morocco can cost $9,000 a year. Maybe Azan has a friend who was able to help her out?
Some fans have enduring doubts
Many of them continue to believe that Azan is using her and that Nicole is simply in denial, because she’d be smart enough to see it if her emotions weren’t clouding her judgment. Others believe that Azan isn’t USING Nicole, but is just getting cold feet and doesn’t have the nerve to tell Nicole that. But those are all just fan theories.
Nicole does not have any doubts
No matter what fans — or her family — may have to say about it, she plans to marry Azan very soon. So fans can either choose to support her or not. It won’t change her mind either way.
