Jenelle Evans is … well, she’s not the brightest, let’s just say it.
And that’s OK, it really is, it’s just that when we say that Jenelle isn’t the brightest, it means that she makes seriously dumb decisions that affect her future and her family’s future.
Usually negatively.
We say this because Jenelle’s latest dumb decision could get her fired from Teen Mom 2 at long last.
And honestly, who else would have her?
Well, Jenelllllle ….
Jenelle … well, things aren’t going too great for her right now in many areas of her life.
Unfortunate
A lot of people are creeped out by her marriage to David Eason — many people think he’s controlling and possibly even abusive, to her and/or the children. They think this because of David’s previous arrests for domestic violence, the way she seems so submissive lately, and all that scary gun stuff. Also for many more reasons, but that’s another topic for another day.
Run, Jenelle, Run
Even if David isn’t abusive at all to anyone in the family, it’s clear that he’s a bad influence. Before him, Jenelle never even talked about guns, but now she’s allegedly chasing down strangers in fits of road rage and pulling guns on them.
Jesus God, David
The unsettling way she’s sort of morphed into David hasn’t done her any favors, and for several months now there have been rumors that she could be fired from Teen Mom 2, thanks to her new gun-loving, bigoted ways.
Bad Business Move
Which would be really very bad for her, because come on, what other career could she possibly have at this point?
Get It Together, Girl
You’d think that at this point, after David got fired for his nasty homophobic rant, that Jenelle would be doing her best to cooperate with MTV and secure her own job.
… Or Not
But it’s becoming painfully clear that if you thought anything close to that, you’d be thinking wrong.
Just Stop
After David got fired and after many, many reports claiming that MTV executives were considering letting her go as well, she’s been just as difficult as ever. She’s still picking fights with her co-stars, she’s still making her home seem like an unsafe environment for the crew … and she’s still refusing to fulfill basic job obligations.
Why. Just Why.
A couple of weeks ago, we began hearing rumors that Jenelle was trying to get MTV to pay for David to come to the taping of the reunion show, even though he was fired and isn’t allowed on set.
Codependency?
One source claimed that she “doesn’t want to go anywhere without David,” and that he “is trying to talk her out of going too, manipulating her and telling her that she should just skip it.”
Suck It Up
Thankfully, it looks like MTV is done giving her special treatment — the source said that they refused to bend on the David ban, and they still haven’t budged, according to a new report.
Ugh
As a source tells The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, “Jenelle wanted them to pay for David’s entire trip– travel and expenses– even though he’s not allowed on the set.”
… Why Though?
It doesn’t make sense at all, and with Jenelle bringing in a ridiculous amount of money each season, you’d think she’d just pay for the plane ticket and for a couple of meals for her husband, but we suppose it’s the principle of the thing — still, MTV refuses to pay his way, and so “Jenelle said she’s not coming.”
She’ll Be Missed (???)
But how are they going to do a Teen Mom 2 reunion without Jenelle there, crying and screaming and then walking off the set a few times? Apparently they’re going to do it via Skype — some some dramatic slams of her laptop, maybe?
No Drama (Maybe)
The source says that “Right now, the plan is to not really even explain Jenelle’s absence, and just have Dr. Drew state that Jenelle was ‘unable to be with us’ or something, so that they don’t have to lie and go into too much detail.”
A Blessing
The reunion, which will be filmed this weekend, is being set up “as if she’s not coming, because it’s super unlikely that she’s changing her mind at this point.”
What Else?!
“But wait,” you may be thinking. “Even if Jenelle doesn’t show up, that doesn’t mean it’ll be a chill reunion. After all, Briana DeJesus still exists!” And yeah, you’re right.
Precautions
“Even with Jenelle absent,” this chatty insider shares, “there is still a ton of tension between the other girls and Briana, and between other cast members so for this reunion, every girl is going to have their own dressing area/green room area. Everyone is worried that fights could break out again, and things could even turn physical.”
Smart
This is smart — Kailyn has even straight up admitted that if Jenelle was there, she and Leah might have a hard time holding back after she had the nerve to talk about their children.
What a Shocker
In news that will be surprising to absolutely no one, the source admits that “Last time MTV was kind of encouraging the drama by putting the girls around each other, but things got way out of control and dangerous, so they are going to try to keep things separate this time.”
… For Real?
“Last reunion was a complete sh-t show so the producers are hoping that’s not the case this time around.”
Riiiight …
We don’t really buy the idea that MTV doesn’t want any drama from the reunion — after all, they managed to get two whole episodes just out of the backstage shenanigans from the last reunion.
Good Idea
But then again, when things could actually end in a bunch of moms fistfighting each other with their kids present, they might actually be more interested in keeping things cool. Or cooler, at least.

For what it’s worth, even though Jenelle is skipping things this time around, Barbara is scheduled to appear, as is Nathan Griffith.
The End?!?!?!
But even though it sounds like it’s a definite that Jenelle won’t be at the taping of the reunion, there’s also the very real chance that she won’t cooperate with a Skype call, either — or that she’s too belligerent these days to obey MTV’s rules long enough to film an interview. Come on, we can all see her trying to pull David on the screen too, can’t we?
