His palpable insecurities getting the better of him, Victor then insists that he is the one doing a favor for Ellie by giving her a house to stay in in paradise.
They part ways for the night
In shock and angry, Ellie tells the camera that she wishes that she could just magically be gone and be at home. She wants to leave, but doesn't know that she's up for the trip back to San Andres and the flight home. What she's up for is to just teleport home, basically. That is oddly relatable, even if her actual situation is extraordinary.
Victor is still complaining
Everyone has sensitive topics, but if you as a couple cannot discuss important topics about what is viable long-term ... what kind of hope is there for your relationship? How can you have a future if you can't talk about the future?
The next day
Ellie feels drained, and at this point, the deadly hurricane and the wreckage that it left in its wake feels like a metaphor for her relationship. Ouch.
Victor and Ellie do apologize to each other, for the fight and for the harsh words said during it.
Victor especially has things to say
He tells Ellie that he appreciates her help, even though his antics last night were evidence that he has complicated feelings about it.
Just like that, they're happy again
Honestly? If you're having a fight like that, you probably have more things to iron out before you even consider staying together. The words that they exchanged ... it's hard to imagine someone taking those back and their partner just forgetting about it.
Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando Rubio
The wedding is almost here, but first, Kenny has to tell Armando about how his adult children are taking things. They have been very supportive of their father and this relationship, but they do have some complicated feelings about Kenneth and Armando possibly adopting another child. With him living in another country, they worry that he's leaving them behind. That's hard for Armando to hear, but it needed to be shared.
Their wedding rental looks gorgeous
A vineyard is an amazing wedding location anyway, but this one looks particularly nice.
It's their final morning as fiances!
Kenneth and Armando bask in how far they've come and how excited they are to be married, finally.
With Armando's dad attending the ceremony, his worries about how his dad will react to the couple's kiss during the ceremony and their first dance are magnified.
But it's not Armando's dad's special day
Kenneth reminds him that this is their day -- and, in many ways, Armando's especially -- and that he can't let worries over how the guests will feel sour what that day means to them.
Steven Johnston and Alina
The two of them are seriously running out of time, so they're putting together all of the necessary paperwork to apply to marry and get an associated visa.
That's the only way that Steven can return to Russia with Alina
The alternative, she tells the camera, would be for them to go back to their respective home countries and be long-distance again. Alina fears that Steven would go back to talking to other girls if that happens. (That is NOT a reason to get married, that is a reason to break up)
They start the registration process
The scene really drags out, to the point where it feels like the editors did this on purpose to highlight how awkward and restless and fidgety Steven can be.
They want to get married ASAP
The translator helps, and it works. Their wedding date will be on Wednesday afternoon, so it's extremely last minute.
Alina goes dress shopping
She has a general idea of what looks she does and does not like (she doesn't want to wear a huge dress) but this is all pretty rushed. Frankly, we have real questions about their budget.
She hired a wedding coordinator
Alina hired a woman who speaks Russian, which is convenient, but how much is there really to plan for something like this? Only time will tell.
Alina tries on a traditional Turkish dress and, to be honest, I don't hate it on her. But it matters what Alina thinks of her dress, not what viewers do.
A dress, a venue, but ... no blessing from mom
Alina's mother, Anna, says what we're all thinking -- that this seems rushed and ill-conceived and Alina has only recently learned that Steven cheated on her. But Alina maintains that it's her decision to make, so that's that. You cannot reason with the unreasonable.
