Members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have starred in sex tapes; possibly been fathered by likely murderers; worn fur; shilled for dangerous products… and none of it seems to matter.
These people still have millions of followers and still rake in millions of dollars per year.
Still, here’s a look at various scandals that have plagued the family, many of which involved nudity:
Kim Kardashian Superstar
Let’s start with the obvious, that pesky Kim Kardashian sex tape that just happened to leak out prior to Keeping Up with the Kardashians airing on E! and which is still making a profit for its participants.
Kim and Kris Go Down the Krapper
Kim Kardashian was married to Kris Humphries for 72 days. Yes, 72 days! Was it all a sham? Why did the divorce take so long to be finalized? Sadly, we’ll never know the answers to these questions.
That’s My Kid!
Model Michael Girgenti has claimed on multiple occasionsn that he’s the real father of Mason Dash Disick. This appears to be untrue, but you never know.
And That’s MY Kid!
This is even less likely to be true, but supermarket tabloids have alleged that OJ Simpson slept with Kris Jenner, resulting in the birth of Khloe Kardashian nine months later.
Statutory or Sweet?
Even when members of this family are in a serious relationship, they manage to make it scandalous. At least Kylie Jenner does, considering she’s a teenager and she’s dating a 25-year old rapper.
Fur the Love of God!
Kim Kardashian has gotten in trouble herself for wearing fur. But she REALLY got in trouble in February of 2015 for dressing her daughter in fur.
FD… Hey Now!
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) came down hard on Kim for endorsing a morning sickness pill, Diclegis, without mentioning its side effects.
Rob Kardashian Gets Fat
This would not really be news, except that his weight gain allegedly led to a fight with his sister, which prompted Rob to jet home prior to Kim marrying Kanye, which led to controversy over his status with his siblings that exists to this day.
Child of the Corn… Rows
Kendall Jenner didn’t just wear cornrows for a shoot with Marie Claire. The magazine wrote that Kendall took braids to a “new” and “bold” level, angering those who take exception with the implication that Kendall Jenner invented the concept of cornrows.
The Downfall of Khlomar
We were really rooting for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. They really did seem so in love. But then the latter fell off the wagon, started using drugs again, cheated on Khloe and gave her no choice but to file for divorce.
Total Waists of Space
The Kardashians and Jenners continue to don ridiculous corsets and continue to point followers to a website where they can buy the appratus needed to “waist train,” an utterly insane concept that does NOT help one lose weight. But which does line the pockets of these sisters, who are paid spokespeople for the product.
She’s Got a Gun!
Why is Khloe Kardashian dressed like a sheep in this photo? That question was overshadowed by the issue of why she was holding a gun on Instagram.
This is a Serious One
The Kardashians came under fire in 2011 for allegedly profiting from fashion lines that were produced in sweatshops, according to Star Magazine. It the news that many of the brands sold and endorsed by this family were manufactured in China under sweatshop conditions, sometimes by employees as young as 16 years old.
A Kardashian Konflict
Ellen Kardashian, Robert’s widow, sued her stepchildren for defamation after they slammed her reputation; Ellen had told a tabloid that Kris Jenner physically and emotionally abused her kids.
Kylie Wears Fishnet Stockings
This story seems hilarious now, considering how often Kylie appears mostly naked on Instagram. But she posted in fishnet stockings at the age of 14, creating major controversy around the Internet.
Kendall Was Also 14…
… when this bikini photo was taken. Again, it’s hard to believe this once stirred up controversy. But would you let your child pose this way at 14 years old?
