Nick Lachey Plans Solo Tour

SoulO, Nick Lachey's debut album, may have been a clunker - but with his second effort standing strong on the charts, a solo tour is now in the works for the ex-Mr. Simpson.

What's Left of Me debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Album Chart and sold more than 500,000 units. As a result, Jive Records label on Monday announced Lachey's first-ever solo concert schedule. It will take place across North America this September or the first time. These shows will be performed in a series of smaller theatres, allowing intimate concerts with fans," Jive said in a statement.

World Cup Final to Feature France, Italy, Shakira's Hips

Sunday's World Cup final between Italy and France in Berlin, Germany, will be more than a match to decide the world's best football team. It will be a party, a celebration for all the citizens of our planet to revel in.

"We don't want a rigid, serious ceremony but instead want to show that Germany is a country where you can dance and celebrate," said Dieter Brell, the man who developed the concept of the World Cup's closing ceremony. "I think it's time to ignite that flame."

Some July 4th Fitness, Relaxation For Kurban

Nicole Kidman and new husband Keith Urban -- known affectionately to us here at the Gossip as Kurban -- spent the July 4 holiday with friends and family in Nashville, Tenn.

The newlyweds started off Independence Day by having a club gym opened up exclusively for them, then took a leisurely stroll (below) through Centennial Park in downtown Nashville, right across from the Vanderbilt University campus. Strolling hand-in-hand, the happy couple made sure to walk through The Parthenon, a full-scale replica of the original Greek Parthenon.

Paris Hilton Purchases More Pets; Animals Worldwide Consider Mass Suicide

Paris Hilton says she'd make a great mother because she's very good with animals. As if to prove her point - and cause Captain Kangaroo to turn in his grave - the nitwit purchased a parrot and kitten from Bird Kingdom & Pet Shop in Santa Monica this week.

Hilton, of course, made her chihuahua famous during seasons of The Simple Life; although many viewers had difficulty telling the tiny dog apart from Nicole Richie.

Never, Never in This Land Again: Michael Jackson to Move to Europe

Like Peter Pan, it looks like Michael Jackson can't remain in Neverland forever. After closing that California ranch earlier this year, the broke, quirky, pedophile will be moving to Europe. He hopes to reignite a musical career there, the one that was stalled by that pesky sex abuse trial.

Jackson, who has been living in Bahrain since his acquittal on child molestation charges in June of 2005, has also severed ties with his longtime business managers as part of a "sweeping restructuring" of his affairs, spokeswoman Raymone Bain said.
