Publicity Payola: R&M filled to the brim
» More Media
Rush & Malloy is just filled with paid-for placements today. First up we’ve got Colin Farrell lusting after Alexander co-star Angelina Jolie. Snooze (read: If it’s not about his dick, Shut. Up.). Oliver Stone, the film’s director, was even roped into offering comment: “He was all over her. He was like the Irish boy – he wasn’t Alexander and he was just falling in love with her, couldn’t help himself. “
You know this crap is heavily padded with paper bags filled with C-notes when the studio is pushing Colin’s bad boy image – and mommy Angelina has no public qualms about it.
Then there’s Crystal Soto, a 20-year-old “talent agency staffer” who claims a trist with Nick Carter was the reason for his split from Paris Hilton – he was just as unfaithful as she, even though he claimed he could never trust her. After you get past the he-said-she-said crap, it’s just another wannabe rep hoping to get a little “free” publicity through name association.
This must be the definition of “PR” Lizzie was talking about.
