Crime Does Pay: Vickie Stringer goes from behind bars to Beemer bling

You can still get a C and become president – but there’s even better news. Now you can traffic drugs, rent out your girlfriends to johns and serve time in prison .. and still make it big in book publishing. That’s the tale of Vickie Stringer, whose Triple Crown Publications is investing in “street lit” (Blaxsploitation Term Alert) and the authors behind those tales. Stringer, who expects to be a millionaire by the end of the year, however, isn’t even publishing her second book under her own imprint – instead she’s using Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, to make bank.
