Jungle Fever star Wesley Snipes was denied a new trial today by a U.S. District Court judge. The actor was taken into custody and transported to prison for tax evasion.
He was convicted in 2008 on three counts of willingly failing to file federal tax returns from 1991-2001 and has worked his way through the appeals process.
His legal team tried to get a new trial based upon emails from two jurors who stated his fate was sealed before the trial even started.
Snipes will spend 3 years in prison.
