Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams isn’t going to be sitting idle for too long following the cancellation of the popular series. The actress has signed on to be part of next season’s cast of Desperate Housewives.
Marc Cherry, the creator of the ABC comedy-drama DH, asked Williams to join the series and she was pleased — to say the least. Word is she will be stirring things up on Wisteria Lane.
Cherry spoke with TV Guide magazine and had this to say about the addition to the show, “I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives.”
