Tori Spelling recently revealed that her fourth pregnancy could have been fatal after she began having serious complications at the 20 week mark.

Spelling spoke with Us Weekly and said during her second trimester she was diagnosed with placenta previa, a condition where the placenta covers the opening of the cervix and can result in massive internal bleeding.

The reality star became pregnant with baby #4 just one month after giving birth to a daughter, a situation that likely led to the high risk pregnancy. Her doctor warned Tori that, worst case, they would be forced to terminate the pregnancy and remove her uterus in order to save her life.

The mother of many said, “It was surreal. I just remember thinking, ‘I can’t leave three children behind.'”

She experienced nine massive bleeding episodes that kept her hospitalized for 10 weeks and on bed rest for four months before giving birth to Finn via C-section at 37 weeks.

Three weeks after giving birth Tori’s surgical scar ruptured and she was rushed to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and remained hospitalized for two weeks.

She is now back home with her baby Finn and the rest of the family, where they recently celebrated Hattie’s 1st birthday. Older siblings are Liam, 5, and Stella, 4.

Spelling is the host of ‘Craft Wars’ on TLC and the family will soon return for a seventh season of ‘Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood’ on the Oxygen network.
