Going their separate ways — single to follow…
Taylor Swift is known for writing songs about the boys and men she’s dated, and it appears that she may have some new material to write about. After a two month fling, Jake Gyllenhaal, 30, and the country singer have parted ways.
During the short-lived romance Swift was showered with expensive gifts from the Brokeback Mountain star and the couple even spent Thanksgiving together with his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and her family.
Insiders are attributing the breakup to their 9 year age difference. Swift just turned 21. Their need for privacy was apparently also a big factor. The unwanted publicity took its toll according to a friend of the actor: “He wants to keep his private life private, and that’s hard to do dating Taylor.”
If nothing else comes out of the relationship, we’re definitely looking forward to a hit single. Two months was more than enough time for the songstress to come up with some meaningful lyrics. Stay tuned…
