Country singer Taylor Swift has made a $100,000 donation to her old stomping grounds in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She earmarked the money to help in the rebuilding efforts after floods devastated the area earlier this year.
Swift’s business manager told CMT that the money would fund the rebuilding of the Kids Kingdom playground and new city volleyball courts.
Hendersonville spokesman Dave LeMarbre said, “We appreciate Taylor’s donation along with all the others that have stepped up.”
The town plans to tear down the old playground later this year and will start rebuilding in 2011.
