What a great day it must have been for Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn a few weeks back when the results of a CT scan came back showing that he is cancer free. Zohn was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called CD20-positive Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on April 30, 2009.

Ethan’s girlfriend Jenna Morasca, who won Survivor: Amazon, spoke with People magazine about their joy over hearing the remission news. “Now we can officially call him ‘in remission’. We were so nervous for this test because good news on this test meant we could start our lives again.”

A year ago, when Ethan’s nightmare first became noticeable, he was having severe night sweats and was itchy. His physician discovered a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle. A CT scan was performed that showed a mass on his chest.

What’s up for Zohn now that he is in remission? The cancer survivor will start working on a project for Outside Television network called Outside Today. You will also find him spending time helping build Grassroot Soccer, the charity that he started with his Survivor winnings.

Congratulation Ethan on your wonderful news. Bitten and Bound wishes you continued good health!

Zohn was the keynote speaker recently at Partnerships 2010, where he spoke about his health and his Survivor journey. Check out the inspirational video below:
