Actor and comedian Seann William Scott has opted to seek unspecified treatment at a rehab facility. He is widely known for having played Steve Stifler in the American Pie series of teen sex comedy films.
A rep for the actor released a statement, “Seann William Scott has voluntarily admitted himself for proactive treatment to address health and personal issues. He appreciates the support of his many fans at this time.”
The 34-year-old Minnesota boy landed his first gig in Aerosmith’s Hole in My Soul music video. The late 90s project featured a nerdy high school student who uses his scientific genius to build a cloning machines to create a beautiful girlfriend or two – see the video below.
The actor’s more recent film credits include Cop Out with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. He had a cameo in Jackass 3D and is the voice of Crash in Ice Age: Continental Drift.
