The death investigation of Sage Stallone is operating under the assumption that the deceased son of Sylvester Stallone was likely dealing the drug Hydrocodone, also known generically as Vicodin.
Authorities found 60 empty pharmacist type bottles that could easily hold a quantity of 500 pills each. According to detectives, not a single tablet was found in Stallone’s home, leading them to believe that he could have sold as many as 30,000 pills.
They also believe that the victim was probably not an addict. At 5’7″ and a strapping 188 pounds, he did not fit the profile. According to one law officer, “He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin.”
LAPD investigators will attempt to trace the empty pill containers using batch numbers and serial numbers, but believe the drugs came from outside of the U.S.
Syl Stallone has hired his own private investigator, Scott Ross, to do some independent snooping.
It will be 6-8 weeks before autopsy and toxicology findings are released by the L.A. County Coroner.
