Count Alexandre de Lesseps and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps
Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar has been identified as the woman responsible for the split of Real Housewives of New York‘s Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and husband Count Alexandre de Lesseps.
The Ethiopian princess is the descendant of King Abajifar, the last ruler of a powerful kingdom in the Gibe region of Ethiopia.
LuAnn, who celebrated her 16th anniversary with her husband on March 16, discovered that her husband was seeing another woman last month, when the count sent her an email. Shocked by the news, the 43-year-old former model said “I just think some people aren’t good at confrontation.”
“I try to stand up tall and walk out the door every day and take it day by day,” the countess, who is keeping her title, said Thursday. “Because, after 16 years of being married, it’s like something has died. And I’m going through a grieving process.”
But at the same time, she said, “I’m trying to be positive and look at this as a turning point for me.”
The couple have two children, Victoria and Noel, who are also seen on the hit Bravo TV show.
