Prince and his New Power Generation band recently gave concert-goers an unexpected treat. The purple one and his band detoured from playing Prince music and covered Rihanna’s hit single Rude Boy during a show.
Prince let his backup singers take the lead. Sheila E. banged it out on the drums and the headliner played guitar and later joined in on vocals. The place was Oracle Arena in Oakland. The crowd of 30,000 on Monday night got more than their money’s worth — by all accounts.
It was definitely an awesome rendition of the pop hit. We’re guessing when Riri hears the news she will be flattered.
