Perry Moore is survived by his partner Hunter Hill …
Perry Moore, best known as the executive producer of The Chronicles of Narnia film series, was found dead of an apparent drug overdose at his home in New York City on February 17, 2011.
The 39-year-old was discovered at 2:00 p.m. at a Houston Street high-rise residence by his partner Hunter Hill, a writer for Paper magazine. The openly gay couple shared the home just off of Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village.
He grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and after graduating from the University of Virginia, served as an intern at the White House.
Moore’s father Bill spoke to his son the night before the tragedy and reported that he was in a “great, great mood.” He went on to say: “We’re in shock.”
The cause of death is an apparent overdose of Oxycontin. An official cause of death will be determined by an autopsy. Toxicology test results will not be available for 5-6 weeks.
