Paris Hilton spent two days at the Narita Airport Rest House while authorities grilled her about her Las Vegas cocaine conviction in the U.S.
The socialite was in the country on a very important trade mission… the promotion of her perfume and fashion line. Unfortunately, she was not welcomed with open arms by immigration officials, who have a history of taking a hard line stance against incoming travelers with police records.
Paris and her publicist Dawn Miller released a statement as they turned tail and headed for L.A.: Paris is very disappointed and fought hard to keep her business commitments…but is forced to postpone her commitments in Asia. Paris understands and respects the rules and laws of the immigration authorities in Japan and fully wishes to cooperate with them.”
Anticipating similar treatment in other parts of Asia, Hilton canceled planned appearances in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Jakarta.
Paris ‘tweeted’: “Going home now. So disappointed to miss my fans in Asia. I promise to come back soon. I love you all! Love Paris xoxo.”
