It looks like Paris Hilton‘s recent cocaine court case is causing her some trouble in Japan. Hilton landed at Narita International Airport in Tokyo and is being detained while immigration officials look into her recent guilty plea for cocaine possession.

Hilton is in Japan on business and is currently being held at Narita’s Airport Rest House until authorities can clear up this mess. Her rep spoke with TMZ and said, “Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier. Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn’t want to let down her brands and many Asian fans.”

After her court arraignment and sentencing yesterday in Las Vegas, Paris immediately boarded a private jet for Japan for a photo shoot.

Japan strictly regulates who they allow into the country, and they have been known to take a firm line on visitors with drug convictions. According to an employee from the Consulate-General of Japan in New York City, they look at each case separately.

Her rep added that the matter is currently out of their control. Hilton may be forced to abandon her plans and head back to the U.S.

Story developing…

See where Paris is currently waiting out the standoff. It certainly isn’t a Hilton
