Aaron Rodgers Super Bowl XLV MVP …

The Green Bay Packers were victorious at Cowboys Stadium last night in Arlington, Texas. QB Aaron Rodgers was named MVP of Super Bowl XLV. The Pack, led by #12 – who threw for 304 yards, brought back the Lombardi trophy to Titletown.

The favored Packers managed to overcome key injuries, starting out strong with a 21-3 lead in the second quarter. They hung on through a bleak third quarter, never giving up the lead but watching it dwindle — at one point to a mere 3 point spread. The Pack capitalized on a number of mistakes by the Pittsburgh Steelers to win it all by a score of 31-25.

Speaking of mistakes — did you catch Christina Aguilera‘s lyrical malfunction during the national anthem? On the morning after the biggest athletic contest of the year, her plight has gone viral.

Coach Mike McCarthy was so certain of victory that he had his players fitted for championship rings on Saturday night — a move that will definitely become part of Super Bowl lore.
