Actress Nicollette Sheridan is suing Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives, for more than $20 million. Sheridan claims that Cherry not only struck her across the head but when she complained, she was fired!

In court papers Sheridan is suing on the following grounds: assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.

Things evidently were always shaky on the set. Nicollette claims that from the get go Cherry acted in an abusive and aggressive manner to all who worked on the show.

On September 24, 2008 Sheridan questioned Marc about something on the script and she says that he, “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.” Following the out of control incident Cherry reportedly went to Nicollette and begged for forgiveness.

The lawsuit claims that she was constantly punished for her outspoken nature. The suit claims “he continued to lash out at Sheridan and to behave in a rude and degrading manner toward her.”

The incident was immediately reported to ABC, who chose to ignore the situation and life on the set only got worse for the star until she was told some four months later that her character was being killed off.
