Lindsay Lohan graces the October 2010 cover of Vanity Fair. She sat down for the interview prior to jail and rehab, but you wouldn’t know it based upon her decidedly insightful dialogue.

Lohan to VF: “So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons. A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party.”

The actress admits she was irresponsible and made mistakes along the way. She was devastated to see her young sister Ali Lohan crying in the courtroom when Judge Marsha Revel ordered jail, rehab and probation for Lilo. Nancy Jo Sales, who did the interview, indicates Lohan got very emotional when she talked about this particular subject.

Lindsay is sure of one thing: “I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress. I want my career back. I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway.”

Lohan is currently working her new treatment plan. We’re looking forward to hearing with she has to say following her jail stint and rehab. Hopefully VF will do a followup.

The October issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands nationwide on September 7.
