To most of those following the Lindsay Lohan saga, we were led to believe that the troubled actress would get lucky and only serve 23 days of her 90-day jail sentence. According to L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore, the Lynwood facility will spring her much sooner.

It turns out that the overcrowded L.A. County jail system has set August 1st as the date when the actress can move on to the second phase of her sentencing — a 90-day stint in rehab.

Lohan, 24, was transported in handcuffs to jail, and began serving her sentence in a solitary 12 x 8 cell, in a special cell block that is away from the general population.

Jail officials have characterized her as “extremely cooperative and clearheaded” during the entire booking process.
